Earlier this month I was invited back to exhibit as part of the Mental Illness Fellowship Queensland (MIFQ) group art exhibition, and this year being their 25th anniversary, they asked me to be one of the featured artists to represent the year 2015.
It was such an honour to be asked back again, and it turned out to be a fantastic night! As always, there was a wonderful collection of all different art mediums, and different levels of experience & artistic talent supporting mental health, which is really inspiring to see. I decided to exhibit my New Zealand Red Dress series images and was lucky enough to have sold 3 of them during the opening night!
The opening night was officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Brisbane Graham Quirk, with the exhibition continuing for a week following the opening night. I was delighted to find out that all my works sold throughout the week, with some of the proceeds going back to MIFQ, and all the great work they do in support of mental health.
I can’t wait to go back again next year to exhibit!
